Techniques I Use to Address the Root Cause
Addressing an individual’s symptoms and issues at the source of the problem may be more effective in resolving symptoms long-term than addressing negative thinking patterns or behaviors alone.
A more thorough holistic resolution of symptoms and issues may include:
- Addressing and processing the emotions related to incidents and traumas that originally initiated and contributed to the client’s symptoms and behaviors.
- Reprogramming traumatic memories and incidents in the subconscious mind through HMR, visualization, hypnosis techniques, along with other methods that can process negative emotions.
- Replacing negative beliefs that may be contributing to self-defeating behaviors. Negative beliefs reside in the subconscious mind and may significantly influence the conscious mind, behaviors, success, etc., contributing to negative thinking, self-esteem issues, limited success, relationship issues, etc.
Techniques Used in Sessions
HMR – Holographic Memory Resolution
HMR is a therapeutic technique that accesses repressed trauma, reframes the trauma in the client’s subconscious mind, and releases the emotion(s) associated with the trauma. “Safe place” may be used for added support.
Hypnotherapy Techniques
Hypnotherapy techniques may be used to reinforce positive beliefs, goals, and visualizations, access client’s “safe place” or inner child. Often practiced in a “light” state of hypnosis for relaxation/receptivity.
Visualization Techniques
Visualization techniques may be used during a session or by the client at home to reinforce new beliefs, goals, support inner child work, prepare for a challenging situation or event, counter chronic negative beliefs/images, etc.
EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques
EFT is a versatile method that may be used to clear emotions and beliefs in “stable” clients. Client “taps” their fingers on specific acupressure/energy points in their body to release repressed emotions.
Safe Place/Inner Child
Safe Place can be used during a session as a refuge for processing intense trauma, or just for added client relaxation and support. Inner child visualization is used to address negative effects/beliefs from childhood.
Circular Breathing
A relaxed, circular breathing method while focused on body responses that allows the client to access emotions and body sensations that surface as the body relaxes and allows emotional energy to gently release.
